First Days Being a Family of Four

We are just loving have our little guy here at home. Aubrey loves her little brother so much and always wants to give him little kisses on his head. Although Michael definitely has his days and nights mixed up, he is a great baby and rarely ever cries!

Grandpa and Uncle Tyler also came out to visit for a few days. Here is "BaPa" (as Aubrey calls him) and Aubrey taking a nap together. They slept like this for 2 hours!

Here is our little guy in our home tanning bed. After only 3 days he had overcome his jaundice and was ready to be held all day again!

Aubrey loves any sort of hat or shoes. Here she was bound and determined to get on Auntie Jessica's Ugg boot.

Mission Accomplished!

My Mom was able to come out for 10 fabulous days to help me with the little darlings. It was so great to have her here. Thanks Mom!!!

Announcing the birth of Michael Harris Leck!

Born on February 8th, 2009 at 7:51am, Michael Harris Leck came in weighing 7lbs 11oz, and was 19 inches long. He has beautiful dark hair and a cute buttin' nose. Both Mom and Baby Michael are doing well.

Upon arrival in the nursery, Michael decided he wanted to find out what the NICU was like where his older sister, Aubrey, had stayed for some time. His O2 levels were low, and they brought him up there to evaluate. Not long after, however, he quickly decided that although it wasn't a bad place to visit, he rather not make his stay long term. After a little O2, some surfactent, and a blessing from his father, Michael's oxegon levels began to rise quickly, and he started looking for available real estate within the nursery again.


To his surprise, Michael returned to a nursery that contained a disproportionate number of girl babies. Not being use to seeing such an incredibly cute looking boy baby, the girls went wild upon his arrival, and it was soon decided that this new celebrity would be safer in a private room with his protective mother.


It was a good thing too, because his older sister, Aubrey, was soon to arrive on the scene with his Nana and Aunty, but not before his Uncle Paul was able to slide in for a sneak peak. It's still hard to gauge exactly what Michael was feeling upon Paul's arrival, but if his bowels are any indication, he definitely has a greater affinity towards the female types. Not to worry though, because within minutes numerous relatives of the above mentioned female type soon arrived and smothered him with their love and affection.

Aubrey, upon seeing Baby Michael for the first time, made a very astute observation -- "BABY!" Indeed. Baby Michael is now enjoying a wonderful rest in the arms of his mother. Both Mother and Father are very proud of the newest addition to their family. Stay tuned for more updates in the future!
