Amber's Birthday

Mark threw me a fabulous birthday party. I woke up to breakfast in bed, which I literally thought he had bought at Denny's because he NEVER cooks. It was absolutely delicious. After dinner, I came home to lots of decorations and the cake was already lit! He is quite the coordinator. Despite me really not wanting to turn a year older, the day was fabulous!

Our beautiful Princess with her pigtails!

Everytime Aubrey wants to dance, she swings her arms around and around saying "dance, dance, dance!" That's my cue to turn on her absolute favorite cd, Enchanted.

Remodel

Well, I finally got my kitchen clean enough to take some photos of all the improvements we've made! Mark did an awesome job arranging the whole thing while he sent me away to Colorado for a week. Thanks hunny!!! I absolutely love everything!

Grandma and Grandpa Leck Come to Visit

Well, life at the Leck household has been pretty busy lately! We have lately remodeled a lot of our home, which is both exciting but pretty crazy! Many of you have been getting after us to post some recent pictures, so here you go!

Granddad and Mimi came to visit us. It was so much fun to see them! They are now back in CA for good and we couldn't be happier about them being so close!

Aubrey's therapist set a new goal that she will be feeeding herself with a spoon in the next 6 months. This is one of our first attempts! Yeah, needless to say, we only do this right before bathtime!

Aubrey loves to dance! Here she is practicing her moves.

Here are some of our fun holiday pictures. We had a wonderful holiday in Colorado with my family. Next year is going to be Christmas in California with Mark's parents and family, so we are really looking foward to that. Aubrey is growing and changing so much. She is truly turning into a little toddler now. About 3 weeks ago, Aubrey started talking up a storm! She can say about 8 words and she also signs about 10 words. She is trying to communicate all the time. She often sneaks into her room where all of her books are and reads to herself. I can leave her in there for an hour and she just reads to herself the whole time. I'm so grateful that she is doing so well with her speech as this was something I was a little worried about with her.
Aubrey at our house when we opened gifts before leaving for CO. She got a new baby doll and wasn't quite sure what to do with it!

Our fabulous trip to Walt Disney World

We recently arrived home from a week vacation in Orlando! Aubrey had a fantastic time. I was a little worried that she wouldn't like the long days and all of the noise, but she was an absolute angel. She would take little naps in the stroller when she got tired, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy herself when she was awake. She absolutely loved getting her pictures taken with the characters. She kept trying to grab at Minnie's nose, and we caught it all on camera! We went with Amber's parents and sister, Jessica. It was extremely helpful to have some extra adults when we needed to do baby swaps on the bigger rides that Aubrey couldn't go on. Aubrey became extremely attached to Mark over the last week. She always wanted him to hold her and cuddle her on all the rides. It made me feel a little rejected, but Mark is thrilled to have such a Daddy's girl! Overall, it was just really nice to get away.
